Something you shouldn’t miss is a visit to the temple of 1000 Buddhas, the Buddhist monastery: Kagyu Ling. In the old part of the city centre of Autun, you will find Cathédrale St. Lazare, which dates from the 12th century. You can also undertake leisure activities in the area, such as fishing, riding mountain bikes, horse riding, canoeing, golf, swimming, gliding and visiting castle gardens. Just 25 km away is the Lac de Panneciére. This lake has a surface area of 520 hectares and a wonderful sandy beach.
